NAIDOC WEEK PARTNERS

FOOTBALL MATCH

"Leon and myself were overwhelmed with the support that we received by the community for this event; which we hope to make an annual occurrence. On the night, a number of people, of which there are far too many to mention, put their hand up to volunteer to cook the BBQ, keep score and umpire the match for example - this made the event so much more enjoyable for everyone and we can't express our appreciation of those people enough. The game was played in great spirit, with plenty of laughter, but also hard-hitting football and flashy skills. We're already looking forward to next year, where the evening will be bigger and better!" - Travis Bussell, Operations Officer

What a wonderful event the CLONTARF PARTNERS FOOTBALL MATCH was.  Leon, Travis and the Clontarf boys worked hard to make this a magnificent evening attended by approximately 200 community members.

The boys had worked on a pre-game traditional war cry dance for about a month prior to the event which they performed with great gustro before running out onto the feild.

With many laughs, a few stiff muscles and some very flashy footy skills by a few it was a truly remarkable community event and we certainly look forward to next year.

Final score: Robinvale Clontarf Academy - 7.5.48 defeated Partners - 4.2.26
