WELCOME TO ROBINVALE COLLEGE 2024

Welcome to 2024 and a new school year for our College community. We are looking forward to the year ahead with many exciting programs and projects underway this year.

Our 10 Year Partnership with the Colman Foundation continues and we are looking forward to working with all of our partners and stakeholders as we further develop ‘Our Place.’

The ‘Our Place’ core elements which we are working to achieve are:

  • Single entry – a welcoming space, which is the main entry to ELC, community facilities and the school, for families/community to gather

  • Early years – prenatal support, supported playgroup, high quality early education and care that exceeds the National Quality standard.

  • Teaching and learning - Demonstrate exceptional leadership in teaching and learning to deliver outstanding achievements in student outcomes. Implement a model of student engagement through before and after school activities that achieves high participation by students.

  • Secondary wrap around - Our Place staff and school staff will work with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure there is provision of a range of high quality health and wellbeing services available on-site. They will also endeavour to address any gaps or inadequacies.

  • Community engagement/adult education - The Our Place Adult Engagement coordinator will work with community members and key service providers to ensure that what is delivered operates on person-centred principles – i.e. we do ‘with” not “to” people.

In 2021, we saw the opening of our new Robinvale Learning and Community Hub that has been built in partnership with Swan Hill Rural City Council and Regional Development Victoria. This facility incorporates a school and public library, meeting rooms, learning areas and a cultural exhibition space. Our school staff and students as well as the local community are welcome to use this facility.

Our ATSI Girls Academy is in its fifth successful year. All ATSI Year 4-12 girls are given the opportunity to participate. Our partnership with St Marys Robinvale continues with the joint Community Liaison Officer role, that is shared across both schools.

We also welcome SuniTafe staff who will set up a weekly Jobs and Skills Centre within our 9-12 space. This new partnership will provide our students, parents/carers and staff with access to advice, education and support with careers, pathways and transition information.

We are very excited to announce that Robinvale College was successful in being appointed $200 000 of funding by the Department of Education to build a new inclusive playground and play equipment. This project will begin in Term 4, 2022 with a finish date of April, 2023 and will include the installation of new outdoor basketball courts.

In 2019 we finalised our new Leadership structure so that it aligns with our 4 year School Strategic Plan goals and targets. Our key improvement strategies and targets are focused around 3 whole school goals:

  • To improve the learning growth and achievement of every student in literacy and numeracy.

  • Foster learning communities that are supportive and productive learning environments that promote inclusion and collaboration, developing the whole child.

  • Build a culture of high expectations for every student that promotes intellectual engagement and self- awareness.

We are excited by this shift in focus as we prioritise relationships, consistency and collaboration while supporting all of our staff to build their capacity as high performing teachers and professionals.

Covid-19 continues to have a significant impact in the world, including in our local community. At Robinvale College, the health and safety of our students, staff, parents/carers, visitors and the local community is of primary importance to us. We have a CovidSafe plan in place for our Robinvale College site and this is enforced on a daily basis. If you have any questions about this plan, you are welcome to download it directly from this website or alternatively you can request a copy by calling 5026 3704.
